So where does the money go?
short term...
-Emergency food and medical relief-
With in 24 hours of the 7.0 earthquake, BGM was on the ground providing food and medical relief to orphanages and villages in Haiti. BGM coordinated transportation for orphans, medical professionals, and rescue workers to several locations around Port-Au-Prince and Leogane.
On Feb. 5th, BGM packed and sent a truck with 42,000 lbs. of supplies to
Mission Harvest America in Jacksonville, FL. They have sent over 200,000 lbs. of supplies to Haiti with thousands more ready for shipment and distribution.
BGM is now focusing on getting supplies (food, medicine, & construction materials) from suppliers in Haiti. By doing this we will eliminate shipping costs and be able to use your donations more efficiently. We are resuming our Mission Team trips into Haiti starting in March. We will be able to bring in supplies and aid and assess the immediate needs of our partners and friends in Haiti.

We will continue to work with our partner organizations and will continue to assess and meet the most urgent needs of the people of Haiti with your help. Working in Haiti since 2003, BGM realizes Haiti will not be fixed over night. Please continue to keep Haiti in your prayers. We are committed to help Build a Better Haiti however long it takes!
